                             Schipper

Nicolas Schipper Pérez, also known as Chaka, is an artivist and  space holder, celebrated for his work as a drummer, keeper of the resonance  and Ethno-Therapist. Deeply committed to exploring and preserving ancient traditions, Chaka emphasizes the importance of appreciation over appropriation through his Vidaya Community & Journeys, supporting individuals in reconnecting with themselves, regaining their energy, and rediscovering their root(s) through ARPI, a method shaped by his personal journey and continuous evolution.

Currently the drummer for the ancestral Scandinavian musical group Heilung, Chaka has also collaborated with artists such as Kati Ran ,Songleikir, Max Cavalera and others. Born in the Andean mountains of Ecuador on the ancestral lands of the Kitu Kara and Kichwa people, his roots extend to Wallmapu in Chile and across Europe, including the Euskaldunak (Basque) region and Gaelic territories. Since 5.523 (2017) , he has been based in Denmark.

Chaka has spent over a decade and a half learning from diverse leaders and teachers in Ecuador and worldwide, understanding the connections of  wisdom from ancient traditions. His journey has brought him to study closely with knowledge keepers in Ecuador, where he gained profound tools that has applied on his own journey. Blending ancestral wisdom with contemporary methods, Chaka supports personal transformation and healing with an approach rooted in respect and deep reverence to nature.

Arriving in Europe marked a turning point in his path, allowing him to explore transformation, growth, and awareness at a deeper level. His journey has been one of reconnecting with his root(s), ancestral territories, and spirituality, as well as engaging with practices like the understanding of  stillness , the healing power of drumming, reviving pre-Hispanic ceramic instruments , and reconnecting with medicinal plants. It was through this transformative process that ARPI was born, a method that bridges tradition and modernity to inspire holistic healing and self-discovery.

Chaka’s mission continues to take shape as he remains committed to learning, sharing, and living as an eternal apprentice of life.

We honor that the lands where we gather and work are ancestral lands, some also home to First Nations peoples for millennia. Some of the words we share come from the teachings of Kichwa and Panzaleo people of the Andean regions in Ecuador. We extend respect and gratitude to their Elders past, present and emerging, and to their enduring bond with the land. At ARPI we recognize the interdependence of all life. Living in harmony means unity, solidarity and empathy. When we remember that we are part of the Earth and not its owners, the path to a just and compassionate future opens. We welcome dialogue, feedback and collaboration as we walk together.
