SURUNA

Drum Therapy Circle

Reconnecting with you Root(s): Hands on method that uses the power of drums to brake internal and external blocks.

Rhythm lives in all of us. It’s in your heartbeat, your breath, your steps, your tears, your voice. The drum reminds us of that,of the pulse of life that is always present. In SURUNA, we don’t use rhythm to perform, we use it to return. To listen. To shake off what’s not ours and come back to what is.

This is not just about drumming techniques. It’s about unlearning the idea that healing needs to be silent or still. It’s about waking up your inner fire and remembering your rhythm, your Awareness, your Purpose. It’s about Rest, not just sleep, but space, healthy boundaries, and allowing your system to breathe again. And it’s about Interaction with yourself, with others, with Earth.

We also touch something deeper. So often healing spaces can bypass the real work, jumping straight to “light” without facing the shadow. In SURUNA we honour both. We don’t skip the hard parts, and we don’t ignore the roots. That’s why a decolonized mindset is so important in this work. We invite you to reflect on the systems you carry in your body, to question what you’ve been told healing should look like, and to feel safe to explore healing as your ancestors might have: through rhythm, through community, through your own truth.

This offering was born through my own lived experience, growing up in the Andes, carrying both Indigenous and European blood, finding my way through many forms of healing and coming back again and again to the drum. I don’t bring a fixed method, I share what has helped me. You are welcome to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

SURUNA is for anyone—whether you’ve played before or never touched a drum. Whether you’re healing from something big, or just need to breathe deeper and feel more connected. You’ll leave with tools, not promises. Because healing doesn’t end at the event—it begins when you take rhythm into your life.

Remember, it's not just about the drum, it's all within you!

Important: You are required to bring your own Drum but not to be a drummer ;) !

We honour that the lands where we gather and work are ancestral lands, some also home to First Nations peoples for millennia. Some of the words we share come from the teachings of Kichwa and Panzaleo people of the Andean regions in Ecuador. We extend respect and gratitude to their Elders past, present and emerging, and to their enduring bond with the land. At ARPI we recognize the interdependence of all life. Living in harmony means unity, solidarity and empathy. When we remember that we are part of the Earth and not its owners, the path to a just and compassionate future opens. We welcome dialogue, feedback and collaboration as we walk together. Our terms and conditions can be found within the following link: Terms & Conditions
